The Zev and Norit Sack Innovation and Technology Fund was created last fall in conjunction with their selection as honorees at Torah Academy’s Annual Gala. Collectively, the Sacks have contributed decades of visionary leadership, generous financial support, and deep devotion to Torah Academy. They asked that contributions to their Fund be directed to the growing technology needs of TA.
How fortuitous. The Gala, originally scheduled for this past March, has been postponed. During the same month, all classes embraced a digital format. With significant help from the Fund, Torah Academy was able to adapt without missing a beat.
Along with supplying additional Chromebooks, the fund enabled TA to expand its use of on-line services and subscriptions to better meet the needs of all our learners. As we look towards an uncertain future, knowing that next year may incorporate digital learning as well as classroom learning, the funds will be essential.
This is yet another example of the TA community coming together to find solutions to challenges. These funds, combined with TA’s formula of strong leadership, deep interest, wonderful generosity, and the obligation for educating our children, enabled us to meet the challenges of distance learning. No matter what changes are yet to come, we will embrace them, adapt, and thrive.
Thank you for your continued investment in Torah Academy, and in the future of the Jewish people. ■
