In honor of Rabbi Mermelstein’s years of service to Torah Academy, we are launching a fund that reflects something he cared about deeply: making sure the people who give so much to our children feel appreciated, supported, and able to build their lives within our community.

About the Fund

The Staff Support and Appreciation Fund will help Torah Academy continue meaningful support for our rebbeim, teachers, administrators, and staff. Over the years, that support has taken many forms: helping rebbeim and staff find housing in the community, making daycare more accessible for staff families, creating warm staff spaces, providing meals and treats around long school days, recognizing Rosh Chodesh and other moments of appreciation, and being there for staff during simchos, loss, or significant one-time needs.

Rabbi Mermelstein believed that staff appreciation is not only about compensation, though that matters deeply. It is also about creating a school culture where the people who carry Torah Academy feel seen, valued, and supported as whole people.

A gift to this fund helps carry that culture forward, strengthening the staff who strengthen our children every day.
